Jef & Mindy are a husband-and-wife team of more than 25 years who have spent decades building participation-based platforms, global events, media properties, transformation movements, and community ecosystems.
They became known for creating experiences that brought people together around aspiration, growth, self-expression, and possibility. Across fitness, wellness, media, events, and community engagement, their work consistently turned ordinary participation into something people could feel proud to be part of.
They have spoken on stages around the world, appeared across radio, print, and television, created magazines and media platforms, produced expos and global gatherings, and led with a message of inspiration and opportunity for people striving to become better versions of themselves.
Years before that global platform, Jef published Canada’s first environmental magazine, earning recognition from the Mayor of Toronto, the Premier of Ontario, and the Minister of the Environment.

Real Participation.
Jef & Mindy built one of the industry’s most active fitness and transformation ecosystems.
Between 1998 and 2013, they promoted and produced more than 175 events around the world, integrating live events, expos, media, publishing, talent development, community building, gamification, and audience participation into a global platform.
Their ecosystem engaged more than 22,000 participating athletes and performers, reached approximately 250,000 audience members and expo visitors, and worked with more than 1,500 sponsors and exhibitors. They also helped pioneer natural bodybuilding in Canada and introduced fitness model search and muscle model events worldwide.
Through the World Natural Sports Organization, WNSO, Jef & Mindy helped build a global governing body and membership-based organization supporting natural bodybuilding and physique events, while establishing standards, credibility, judging systems, and international competition structures.
Through FAME World Tour, they created a global series of events, expos, workshops, seminars, competitions, media moments, and community experiences spanning five continents, more than twelve countries, and over fifty cities.

BodyPROUD expanded the work beyond the stage. It became a social initiative, a motto, a handshake, a salute, and a way of being. The movement helped people connect physical transformation to confidence, identity, mindset, emotional growth, and the desire to inspire others.

Jef & Mindy wrote an industry-wide judging manual and introduced new drug-testing policies and procedures that helped support accountability, fairness, and credibility across the natural bodybuilding and physique world.
Across their ecosystem, they trained, coached, and assessed more than 20,000 athletes, with Jef serving as an internationally recognized Head Physique Judge for major events including The Natural Olympia, The Natural Universe, Ms. Fitness, Fitness Universe Pageant, Musclemania Worlds, and the FAME World Championships.

Jef & Mindy’s original ecosystem included events, workshops, seminars, expos, magazines, television programming, and a resource directory of trainers, therapists, coaches, and transformation leaders.
FAME Lifestyle Magazine was distributed internationally through subscriptions, retailers, and brand partners. The broader ecosystem helped generate jobs, tourism, goods, services, and brand partnerships across fitness, wellness, CPG, nutrition, activewear, and lifestyle.
Their work attracted key brand partners including Suzuki, Kellogg’s, Hershey’s, Sprite, Planters Peanuts, Yogen Früz, GNC, Gold’s Gym, and other leading CPG, nutrition, activewear, and lifestyle brands.
When the Industry Drifted,
They Chose to Evolve
Jef & Mindy eventually saw the fitness industry drifting out of balance.
Too much focus had shifted toward outward appearance, influence, and pressure, while too little attention was being paid to truth, authenticity, accountability, transparency, mental wellbeing, emotional health, and functional living.
Influence had become powerful. Some voices helped people grow, while others created confusion, comparison, body shame, and unhealthy standards.
So Jef & Mindy sunset those tours and turned inward. They studied, mentored, coached, reflected, and evolved, moving from physical transformation toward emotional, mental, social, creative, and whole-life transformation.
What They Chose Instead
The Work Evolved.

Instead of leading with appearance, The Ridiculous leads with laughter.
The doorway changed. The mission did not.

The Ridiculous.
After years of building fitness, media, event, and transformation platforms, Jef & Mindy began exploring what would come next. The question was no longer only how people could transform physically. It became how people could feel more connected, more recognized, more creative, more engaged, and more alive.
That exploration moved through technology, immersive environments, holistic wellness, emotional intelligence, community growth, gamification, and advisory work. Each step added another layer to what eventually became The Ridiculous: a storytelling and participation ecosystem where laughter opens the door, and real-world action moves people forward.
Immersive Technology
Through 3D World Group, they worked with experts, programmers, engineers, designers, and developers exploring AI, immersive 3D environments, virtual events, expo worlds, storytelling spaces, commerce, and digital community applications. Their work with Napster, formerly Infinite Reality, helped shape thinking around immersive events, community spaces, podcasting environments, and next-generation digital engagement.
Whole-Life Wellness
Through RethinkFIT, they worked with leaders in natural medicine, nutrition, body mechanics, emotional intelligence, and mental health. The goal was to help move fitness and wellness beyond outward appearance into a fuller approach, mind to heart, inside and out, head to toe.
Community Growth
In advisory roles, they supported startups in technology, nutrition, direct sales, online training, and community building. For The Social Universe, TSU, they led community outreach, gamification models, programming, and engagement strategies that helped support growth from a few hundred early members to more than one million within eighteen months.
The result was a clear evolution: from physical transformation, to whole-life participation, to The Ridiculous, where comedy, story, recognition, and real-world action come together.
Their
Personal Side
Jef & Mindy live with their Bengal cat, Aura Spirit, a chatty, energetic, back-flipping little character they absolutely adore. Aura was a surprise addition to their lives, especially after years of being dog people, with five dogs between them over the years.
They also love Toronto’s vibrant live music and cultural scene. They are often found at concerts, festivals, and local events, drawn to the same things that have shaped much of their work: creativity, energy, people, and shared experience.
Travel has also played a meaningful role in their lives. Their adventures have taken them to many parts of the world and led to unexpected experiences, including a deep connection with the Taíno community in Puerto Rico, where they were welcomed and honored in ceremony.
Their spiritual journey has included study, mentorship, and ceremony with a respected oracle, eventually leading to their ordination as Metaphysical Ministers. They have also had the joy of officiating weddings, bringing meaning, humor, and heart into some of life’s most important moments.
Beyond travel, music, and community, they love being in nature. One of their favourite vacations was simply camping, a reminder that some of the best adventures are the ones with trees, quiet, fresh air, and no algorithm asking if you are still watching.
